Thomas Hofer is a Member of the board of Paresa Collection, a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Amrop Singapore and a Member of Amrops’ Global Board. His authority and extensive professional experience in Leadership and Board Consulting make him a trusted, highly sought-after management consultant.

Trusted by many of the world's leading companies, Thomas has built deep expertise across industry sectors.

Thomas has always been driven by a forward-thinking approach. He built his reputation by delivering quality consultancy with humility, persistence, a high-level insider perspective, and value-added service to the market's top tier. He holds longtime relationships with senior management executives and industry insiders around the globe.

He has made a mark as a former Commanding Officer of a regiment and brings extensive leadership and management experience leading four battalions and a significant size of military personnel.

Thomas maintains a lifelong interest in sports, which grew from serving as Team Manager of the Swiss National Elite Rowing Team, participating in the World Cup and World Championships during two Olympic Cycles, 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing. He played a central role in critical leadership appointments and continues collaborating with the international sports sector on global leadership topics.

London holds a special place in his heart. Thomas was a member of London's Gold & Silver Wyre Drawers Company and is a Freeman of the City of London. He also served as Master of a Zurich Guild for an extensive period.

His work in philanthropy Thomas continues today. He previously served as Chairman of a Charity in Switzerland that focused on supporting families and children in underprivileged areas of Latin America and Eastern Europe by building houses and creating sustainable living conditions. He was also a Board Member of a Swiss-Indian foundation that, among others, built a school for 800 slum children on the outskirts of Hyderabad in India.

Despite his busy schedule, he is passionate about exploring new destinations and loves outdoor sports, especially Tennis and Golf.

Carin Beumer currently serves as a non-executive Board Director of several For-Profit organizations in the life-sciences sector and Non-for-Profit organizations in the international humanitarian sector and education.

The commonalities between these organizations are health & wellbeing, specialist expertise, discovery & innovation, and purpose.

In the past 25 years Carin co-founded several start-ups in the life-sciences: biotech, ag-tech and consumer health companies, situated in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany and Malaysia.

The international humanitarian organizations which she serves are headquartered in the USA and the Netherlands and are active across the Global South, focused on fragile states. The educational institute is based in Switzerland.

Preceding her life as an entrepreneur, Carin worked at investment banks in Amsterdam and London, specializing in project finance in developing countries.

Carin graduated from the Free University in Amsterdam with a degree (doctorandus) in Economics and a BSc from the Breda University of Applied Sciences.

She is a certified International Board Director: IDP-C (Insead 2019-2020).

Carin is passionate about the discovery and development of solutions for significant problems to humanity (climate change, anti-microbial resistance, obesity) and about creating opportunities for people who have limited access to health care services and education. She believes strongly that health, knowledge and career opportunities are critical for the wellbeing of people.

Carin has lived experience in the Netherlands, where she grew up, the USA, the UK, Austria, Malaysia, Switzerland, France.

She travels across the world, driven by curiosity and a desire to understand different aspects of life. Her professional activities and global network require extensive travelling.

Carin is an avid reader, with main interests in global affairs, economic development, physical and mental health & wellbeing. She enjoys long hikes in nature, skiing and swimming.

Professor Dr Jochen Wirtz is Vice Dean MBA Programmes and Professor of Marketing at the National University of Singapore (NUS). On the global stage, he is an International Fellow of the Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Sweden, an Academic Scholar at the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures (CIHF) at Cornell University, and a Global Faculty of the Center for Services Leadership (CSL) at Arizona State University.

Previously, he was the founding director of the dual degree UCLA – NUS Executive MBA Program (from 2002 to 2017), an Associate Fellow at the Saïd Business School, the University of Oxford (from 2008 to 2013), and a founding member of the NUS Teaching Academy, the NUS think-tank on education matters (from 2009 to 2015).

Alongside his esteemed academic career, Professor Dr Wirtz has been an active management consultant for international consulting firms, including Accenture, Arthur D. Originally from Germany, Professor Dr Wirtz spent seven years in London before moving to Asia. Today, he shuttles between Asia, Europe and the US and enjoys being an active academic and industry expert serving a truly international business community.

Professor Peter Verhezen is a Professor of Strategy, Sustainability and Corporate Governance at the University of Antwerp and Antwerp Management School (Belgium).

He was a former award-winning Associate Professor for global corporate governance at the University of Melbourne, an Adjunct Professor at Melbourne Business School (Australia), and a Research Fellow for Governance at the Ash Institute of the Harvard Kennedy School (USA).

Peter built profound expertise and experience as a trainer and coach of top executives and new incoming board members on Governance & Ethics in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai for the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

A Digital-First Marketing and Business Strategist, Assistant Professor of Marketing at NYU and above all, a writer, she is considered a subject matter expert in personal branding, content marketing, social media and pitch-perfecting.

She is the author of three books, including the workbook, Getting Your Personal Brand Story Straight and the host of a weekly podcast - Marketing, Mindfulness and Martinis.

As Senior Advisory to Paresa Collection and its clients, she is a transformative voice in brand and marketing strategy offering much guidance and clarity in her ever-so-engaging way.

In her previous career, Joanne held senior management positions in media advertising and marketing at CBS Radio, Time Warner Cable and NY1 News.

While she currently resides on the other side of the Hudson, working on her next book, she is and always will consider herself a New Yorker.

Natasha Shuttleworth is a Partner at Paresa Collection and works alongside the Founder, delivering best-in-class service on all aspects of board and executive retreats for our international, discerning clientele.

Her engagements include expanding collaborations with Paresa Collection’s global network of faculty, organisations, experts and partners on subject matters and programme creation and engaging with international project teams on cross-border assignments.

Natasha has built an international career and lived and worked in Asia (Singapore) and Europe. Her professional background spans almost three decades, working across industries, academia and as a creative and entrepreneur, including roles at not-for-profit organisations and as a member of a Board of Trustees.

With previous experience as a photojournalist, her love for design and beauty is a constant driver for her focus on visual development and production at Paresa Collection and its Lifestyle publishing, Passione Lifestyle. While on-site of retreats, Natasha uses her resourcefulness and watchful eye, making it the very best experience for all participants and distinguished guests of Paresa Collection.

Natasha graduated with a Masters's degree in Sports, Physical Activity and Mental Health. Part of her thesis was published in a collective book on Leisure activities in the outdoors: Learning, Developing and Challenging (Cabi, 2021).

As a result, he has consulted for global companies such as Dyson, The Qatar Foundation, and Vodafone and co-created programs for business families; ethics courses for top-level finance leaders; team-building workshops for C-suite executives; and bespoke executive development programmes for leading banks and other businesses.

Originally trained as a journalist, Professor Nicholson has been a columnist for Management Today, Psychology Today (also a broadcaster), Families in Business, and Business Voice throughout his career. His media work includes being invited as a frequent guest on TV and radio broadcasting appearances. Alongside his consulting and research work, he is the author of over 200 academic and practitioner articles and author/editor of over 20 books, including Managing the Human Animal (2000), Traders: Risks, Decisions, and Management in Financial Markets (2005); Family Wars (2006), & The ‘I’ of Leadership: Strategies for seeing, being and doing 2013).

Professor Nicholson has been honoured with Fellowships and awards by many learned societies, and he has been both a licenced psychological test user and a family business consultant for eight years. He was Chairman of the judging panel for JP Morgan’s Honours Programme for the best family businesses in the UK & Ireland and a member of the Institute for Family Business Advisory Board.

He resides in the UK but retains strong links around the world, where he has taught and consulted for many years.
